Granada Geopark: Journey to the desert, History and local Gastronomy

Full Day Granada Geopark Experience

Starting from Granada, the first stop will be at the Acequia del Toril, a natural aqueduct that has formed over the centuries, traversing the grand scenery of the lush vegetation covering the Acequia and the arid landscape surrounding it.

The next stop will be Gorafe, one of the most picturesque villages in Granada. We will explore one of the most important natural deserts in Europe, with its panorama full of different shapes, colors, and sensations. We will visit the typical cave houses and the dolmens of the Megalithic Park.

The tour continues to the village of Zujar, specifically to the Mirador de Jabalcón, where you can observe a vast area that encompasses the Quaternary sediments of the basin, and learn about its geological history thanks to our local guide.

Finally, we will dine at one of the best restaurants in the region, tasting the local cuisine.
